Nigeria biggest financial institution Access Bank has unveiled mobile banking service for transaction known as USSD code which allows customers to transact and enjoy banking services conveniently from their phone, without the use of airtime or data.
The service is available 24 hours.Meaning account holder’s can perform their transaction from their comfort zone any time and any where from their mobile line that is link to their account even in abroad, if you have an active roaming service.
As Africa’s largest retail bank, Access Bank PLC, has also introduced mobile code. The USSD code allows customers deactivate their USSD profile once their mobile devices get lost or stolen.
The service is available to all individual account holders (sole signatory) whose phone numbers are registered with any of the mobile network operators (MTN, GLO, Airtel and 9Mobile) and correctly maintained with the Bank.
The service is seamless, fast and secure, the session lasts for about 2 minutes and times out after every 20 seconds if there is inactivity. This means that every transaction initiated must be concluded within 2 minutes. These are strings of numeric codes used to complete specific transactions in a shorter time.
With Access bank USSD you can execute the following transactions; Account opening Money/fund transfer Airtime recharge Check account number Check account balance Change PIN Pay bills and many more.
How to enroll on Access bank *901#?
To enrol on access bank *901#, simply follow the steps below:
1. Dial *901# with your registered phone number
2. Click on ‘Transfer’
3. Enter the last 6 digits of your Debit Card number (You will be prompted to input your 4. 5.Date of Birth if you do not have an active debit card).
6.Enter your account number
7.Create a 4-digit PIN

What is my transaction limit on this service?
The maximum daily transfer limit is N100,000 (N20,000 per transaction)
Daily maximum limit on Airtime top-up is N20,000 but to make transfers above N20,000, a hardware token or the last six digits of your debit card is required. You can request a token from any of our branches nearest to you.
What if I forget my PIN?
Whenever you forget your pin simply Dial *901*0# to reset pin.

To deactivate a USSD profile, simply dial *901*911# from any phone, input the registered phone number for the account you want to blacklist and your USSD profile will be deactivated and blacklisted automatically.”
How to transfer money with Access Bank USSD code With Access bank *901# code, you can transfer money to virtually any bank account, be it intra or interbank.
To send money via the USSD code, Dial *901#
Select “2” for transfers Then select from the list of options provided, the very account you wish to effect the transfer from, in case you have more than one account with Access bank.
