How to register for Online banking or the Westpac App

Before you can enroll for online banking and mobile app you need to have the following items ready such as ​your card number, Customer ID, and account information on hand. You can find your Customer ID near the top of your bank statement.—– Please note: Internet connection is needed to access Westpac App.

. Get the app (min. iOS 13.0.0)

. Tap Existing customer
. Tap Register for Online Banking
. Enter your Customer ID or card number, name and date of birth
. Answer any security questions, if asked
. Create a password
. Confirm your email and phone number

Classic Westpac App

. Tap Set up
. Tap Allow for notifications
. Enter your Customer ID or card number, name and date of birth
. Answer any security questions, if asked
. Create a password

Westpac online banking registration

Get the app (min. iOS 13.0.0

. Drag and drop from the Quick View screen or your account dashboard
. Enter the Amount
. Tap Today to enter the payment date and frequency
. Tap Done
. Tap Transfer to pay now or Schedule to pay later.

Classic Westpac App

. Tap Transfer
. Tap the account to transfer From
. Tap the account to transfer To
. Enter the Amount, When and How often
. Tap Continue

How to pay bills

New Westpac App

. Get the app (min. iOS 13.0.0)

. Sign in to the Westpac App
. Search BPAY® in the Smart Search bar and tap Pay payees & billers
. Tap Billers to view BPAY® account/s or tap Add to add a new BPAY biller
. Follow the prompts to complete your payment.

Classic Westpac app

. Tap Pay and select the From account
. Tap To and select a BPAY® account or tap Add (+) > Add a new biller to add a new BPAY® biller
. Follow the prompts to complete your payment.

How to ADD YOUR TAX FILE NUMBER (TFN)

Manage your Tax File Number in Online Banking or the Westpac App

Mobile

. Search Tax File Number (TFN)
. Select the account you wish to update
. Tap Choose option
. Tap Enter Tax File Number or Declare Tax File Number exemption
. Enter details and tap Update
. Repeat above steps for all accounts you wish to provide TFN

Online

. Go to Services > Preferences > Tax File Number
. Select Update Tax File Number
. Enter the SMS Code sent to your registered mobile and select Authorise
. Select the account you wish to update
. Enter your TFN or TFN exemption and select Save
. Repeat above steps for all accounts you wish to provide TFN

Daily transfer limit for Westpac bank

The default Daily Payment Limit is $750 per day for your Online Banking. The limit is shared between you and anyone who has access to make payments. If you change your Daily Payment Limit, everyone with shared access will also be able to access the modified limit.

You can change your Daily Payment Limit (up to a maximum of $10,000) using Online Banking or the Westpac App. If you need to increase your limit above $10,000, call us through the Westpac App.

How to check TRANSACTION HISTORY

Looking for a transaction, payment or deposit? Search up to 3 years of transaction history in Online Banking or the Westpac App… You can find your previous transactions by searching for:

A certain date
A description
An amount(s)
Type of payment (Debit or Credit)
Account balance

How to activate your card

You can activate your card in two ways either mobile app or online banking depending on your choice.

Mobile app process to activate card.

. Search Activate card in the Smart Search bar
. Enter the Card number and expiry date and tap Activate
. Tap to change your card PIN (optional)

Online process to activate card

.Go to Service > Services > Card services
.Select Activate card
.Enter the Card number and expiry date and select Activate
